No Fuss Pizza Dough

I've tried a lot of different pizza dough recipes, but I think this one is by far the easiest. It's now my go-to recipe. It's easy and produces a crust that rises nicely when cooked in an oven or on the grill and still remains tender. So much better than the dough you buy in the supermarket - and no chemicals additives!

No Fuss Pizza Dough

Ingredients:

3 cups Plain Flour
1 sachet dried yeast
1 tsp sugar
1 tbsp olive oil
1/2 tsp salt
1 1/4 cups warm water
Olive oil, for brushing

Method:

In a small bowl, combine yeast, sugar and the warm water. Set aside so that the yeast can bloom, takes about 10 minutes. Once bloomed, add in your 1 tbsp of olive oil.
In a larger bowl, combine the flour and salt.
Make a well in the center of the flour and pour in your yeast mixture.
I usually use my hands to combine the ingredients but you can start off with a fork. When the flour starts to move away from the bowl, switch to your hands. Turn the dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead for 10 minutes or until smooth and elastic.
Coat another bowl with some oil, place the dough in and roll around so that it has oil all over.
Cover with a damp towel and set aside in a warm place for about 30 minutes or until dough doubles in size.
Punch down dough with your fist to release the air, knead for about a minute. Cut the dough in half and form two round discs. Cover in plastic wrap and store in the refrigerator or freezer until ready to use.
